Because we carry His glory, we are heavily empowered to cause a great damage to the kingdom of darkness. therefore, we are able to set the captives free through the power that works within us. In 1John 3:8b, the bible talks about the purpose for which Jesus came to earth; that he might destroy the works of the devil. He opened the prison doors for all who were spiritually and physically bound. When you lift up Jesus, he draws men to himself. Praise brings God down to our level, and the outcome is usually breakthroughs for those who'll seek him. Before he departed for heaven, he handed the baton to us (John 14:12). Yes I believe, I believe , I believe! Yes! We shall do greater works because we are so empowered.
Jehoshaphat and the people of God praised, and they received victory because their praises to God compelled their enemies to destroy themselves. Joshua and all Israel praised and the wall of Jericho fell down flat. Paul and Silas prayed and praised, and the chains were broken off of their feet and they were liberated. When David praised, the evil spirit which was upon Saul was quieted. When the people of God praised God, his blessing always came down. God inhabits the praises of his people, and only those who have knowledge of this revelation, and act upon it will have the privilege of the presence of God.
When I realized that God neither eats bread and butter, nor drinks wine like men do, I decided to make sure that I constantly feed him with my praise and worship. Praise is what gets God going. Our praise nurishes the heart of God. So do not keep your parise from him. One thing I discovered is that God never comes to appreciate your praise with an empty hand. He always comes with a gift, healing, deliverance, favor, wisdom, reveletion knowkedge, power etc. So when you are busy crying out your eyes in prayers , binding and loosing, a praise worshiper, in a few minutes of praise intercession is already basking in the glory triggered by his/her praise.
In our ministry, we invite people with all manner of burdens to come into our praise arena. Believe me, they always leave totally set free.
There was a young woman whose husband left their marriage of two years for another woman. She was so broken hearted and did not know what to do. When she came to our Healing Praise arena, we did not bother her with much preaching, but we read the scripture in Isaiah 60:15, which says: “Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations”. As we sang and praised God, the Holy Spirit took over, and the rest is history. She is today serving the lord, full of joy, and with great expectations for her future. When people say that prayer is the key, I say mh......uuuu, prayer is powerful, but Praise is the key. I believe that this is the reason why, David, the man after God's heart, was a success. David knew that the presence of God was worth more than treasures of any sort. Praise is the key!
